My Company
Authentic Empire Media, LLC was founded in 2017 by myself, Andrea Dotterer to help women entrepreneurs grow successful businesses on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Many businesses are using social media, however, few of them are seeing results because they don't have a clear, effective plan in place and were taught to spam and self-promote without adding value to their audience.
I decided there was a better way for small business owners to increase their social media visibility and achieve their goals without sacrificing their reputation and authentic voice.
why me?
I don’t believe you have to resort to inauthentic sales tactics like engagement bait and unsolicited messages.
This may have worked in the past but people want to connect with people and it’s no longer an effective social media marketing strategy.
The algorithm’s main job is to filter out irrelevant content so users can see more of what THEY want.
And they don’t want spam!

Hi! I am Andrea Marie Dotterer, CEO of Authentic Empire Media, LLC!
As a Social Media Marketing Manager, I help women entrepreneurs build successful businesses on social media by helping them create a customized marketing plan that aligns with their business objectives that will position them for success.
I especially focus on making the algorithms work FOR them through authentic strategies, not sales gimmicks!
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Psychology & Counseling from Emmanuel College in Boston, MA in 1996.
After graduating, I worked as a mental health counselor for adults with developmental disabilities.
I then switched gears to become an administrative assistant at a software company. Following that I worked in customer service, inside sales, and marketing/communications.
While I liked the money, I was burned out and felt unappreciated, restricted and undervalued. I really wanted to be my own boss.
So I did just that when my oldest son was 6 and my second turned 3 months old, (and no more kids were coming! lol)
In 2014, I partnered with a wellness company as a health and fitness coach.
I enjoyed helping women become healthier and happier versions of themselves and was able to do something I truly loved while being home with my boys.
This was not only rewarding, I discovered my love for building a business on social media and the desire to help other women entrepreneurs do the same.
I quickly learned there was a lot of social media content out there full of gimmicks and cheap tricks used to get a sale.
It has gotten to a point where people are afraid to like a post for fear they would be the victim of the sales pitch.
I was one of those spammers. Like many, I was only doing what I was taught at the time.
Then I implemented a more genuine approach to building relationships, having conversations, and attracting my dream clients without sacrificing my reputation.
I fully understand the struggle of starting a business without confidence, or a clue, sitting at my kitchen table all the while juggling the physical, mental, and emotional demands of motherhood.
I have thousands of hours of social media management, marketing, business development and coaching techniques including certifications in Advanced Social Media Marketing Training, LAUNCHEST: Build Your Social Media Business, and Facebook Advertising through Boot Camp Digital and HubSpot.
By leveraging my experience and expertise I now work with women to show them how they can build their business while creating a beautiful legacy.
My oldest son and I are 1st Degree Black Belts in Martial Arts in which we have religiously trained.
We love to travel, cook, watch movies, and enjoy being together.
Originally from Massachusetts, I am currently based in the Tampa Bay, Florida area where I reside with my husband, two sons, and our beloved cat Dusty.
